Nisan S. Cerami, DAOM, LAc Doctor of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine Licensed Acupuncturist & Certified Massage Therapist

Nisan grew up in the Conejo Valley and has been in private practice since 2014. She earned both her Master of Science in Traditional Oriental Medicine (MTOM) and Doctor of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (DAOM) from Emperor’s College of Traditional Oriental Medicine in Santa Monica, CA.

During her clinical training, she completed internships at the Roy and Patricia Disney Family Cancer Center in Burbank, CA, and the Santa Monica Homeopathic Pharmacy as a Chinese Medicine herbalist. She became a Licensed Acupuncturist (LAc) in the state of California in 2014 and, in 2016, served as the team acupuncturist for the Los Angeles Rams.

In 2020, Nisan closed her Westlake clinic due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Before reopening, she took the opportunity to deepen her expertise in Women’s Health and fertility by volunteering at a fertility clinic in Beverly Hills—an experience she describes as a hands-on master class.

Her doctoral thesis focused on the efficacy of acupuncture for primary sleep disorders, comparing its effectiveness to commonly prescribed medications for sleeplessness. She strongly believes that improving sleep and supporting the body’s response to stress is the foundation of lasting healing from almost any ailment.

Additionally, Nisan holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Emerson College in Boston, MA, and completed a 300-hour certification program in massage therapy at the Advanced School of Massage Therapy in Thousand Oaks, CA.
